Big thanks to new HEFF trade desk...

Via the newly appointed Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF) trading desk, Buttercross Farm were asked to tender for the production and supply of 35,000 pork sausages for distribution around Staffordshire school canteens as part of the Staffordshire County Council’s “Go Green” week. Part of this initiative was to encourage local sourcing which we at Buttercross Farm are thrilled about.
"From our point of view, we hope that our supply into this initiative goes to prove that small scale, high quality manufacturers are able to rise to the challenge of larger scale production. It was a large order for us but are very proud of the fact that we managed the entire project well within the tight time constraints and more importantly at a price which suited the budget of a cash strapped council!!

Our thanks go out to the HEFF team and of course our committed, hard working staff whom, without their abilities and positive attitudes we could never of entertained the idea of producing such a large volume in such a short space of time!!"

We’re pleased to introduce Louise, whose happy and bubbly personality is a real tonic in and around the shop.


She’s managing to get to grips with all the jobs we throw at her, and does it all with a smile.

We’re also pleased to welcome Daniel to the team, who is currently helping us out for a couple of days a week, and more often when we get busy spells!

  • Fresh bread, locally baked...

    After several customers requested fresh bread, we’ve now secured good quality locally baked loaves and baps...




    They will be on sale every Friday and Saturday throughout February and hopefully everyday thereafter...while stocks last!

    We thought it was about time to shout about the fantastic range of cheeses we have on offer in the Farm Shop....




    .....with over 20 different English cheeses, and lots of others varieties available too, our cheese counter is one of the best in the area and a must for those serious about their cheese.

Only kidding......we're really proud to have just taken delivery of some smart new uniforms....


.....with the new colours and logo on them, we'll have a consistent and professional image both back and front of house.
